On Sunday, August 14th, five members from Connecticut DeMolay (Jaden, Caleb, Owen, Adam and Kristian) journeyed to Region 1 Leadership Training Conference! Meeting at Lions Camp Pride in New Durham, NH, the week-long trip full of athletics, leadership training, and brotherhood would begin. The tracks consisted of DeMolay Leadership, Chapter Leadership, Jurisdictional Leadership, and Personal Leadership, with different focuses ranging from general knowledge, being a state officer, and what comes next in life.

On Wednesday, State Master Councilor Jack Campbell, Deputy State Master Councilor Matthew Sprouse, MA State Master Councilor Ryan Saucier, and International Congress Secretary Sebastian Pesquera visited along with Executive Officers Dad Beals and Dad Lawson and extended their greetings from Region 1 DeMolay, and DeMolay International! They then enjoyed a game of dodgeball with Camp Arrowhead, free time activities, and dinner to end the night.

On August 20th, Saturday afternoon, the Connecticut guys left with memories that would last a lifetime, such as a fantastic board game night, an intense game of Mario Kart, and Dad Garnish’s Personal Leadership Union Committee Jurisdictional Chapter Fan Club Chapter. On the drive back, we stopped for big lunch at Cracker Barrel before meeting back with family at New Britain Lodge with many lessons learned. We would like to thank all of the LTC staff for putting on an astounding event; it wouldn’t be possible without your extensive preparation and putting more than a week’s time in for us. Thank you to the Camp Pride staff for allowing us to host LTC once again; it is always a pleasure! Overall, it was a fantastic week for Connecticut DeMolay and the entirety of Region 1. We hope to see everyone there next year!
