On Saturday November 19th 2022, Connecticut DeMolay hosted the first of its three-part Tournament Series! The tournament was themed around video games. There were three main tournaments, consisting of Super Smash Bros, Nintendo Switch Sports, and Halo 3. Meanwhile, there was also Mario Kart on the side, where people tried to get the best time on a selection of tracks, and a Super Mario Maker world that people got to try and beat as fast as possible.

After the main tournaments, the three winners were Alan Ladd of Nathan Hale Chapter, Owen Plourde of Marcus Holcomb Chapter, and Matthew Corriveau of Sleeping Giant Chapter! Each of the three winners participated in a final round of Mario Kart, and in the end, Matthew Corriveau of Sleeping Giant Chapter came out on top as the winner of Day One of the Tournament Series. Stay tuned for Tournament Series Day 2 sometime in February! The theme for that one will be indoor sports!
